Rushda Naik, daughter of the world-renowned Daa’ee Dr Zakir Naik, is a passionate Daa’iyah and aspires to spread the message of Islaam through the pen and through modern science. Alhamdulillaah, she is blessed with a flair for writing and critical thinking.
Rushda has finished her IGCSE and A Level exams, having topped her batch in both, and is now pursuing higher education. She is currently studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Islaamic Studies in Princess Noura University, Saudi Arabia, as well as a second Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the Open University, UK.
Rushda displays a good blend of intelligence and passion. She enjoys reading and taking part in sports such as football and horse riding. Rushda experienced the challenging bungee jumping at the tender age of ten. Alhamdulillah, she is also a Black Belt in Karate and Taekwondo.
Maa Shaa Allaah, Rushda completed the memorisation of the Qur’aan at the young age of ten, and later obtained an Ijaazah in Qur’aan recitation and memorization. She won first place in the university-wide hifdh contest held at Princess Noura University, Riyadh. She also blogs on topics ranging from Islaam to science to current affairs. Rushda hopes to spread Allaah's word to every home and earnestly prays to be instrumental in this great prophetic mission, In Shaa Allaah.
